The Name
Many people want to know where we came up with our name. A quick search in Google will tell you that a swampfire is just like a forest fire except in a swamp. It is also the name of a tank on G.I. Joe, a zydeco band, a hot sauce, and a movie. Countless works of art have been called swampfire. The list goes on and on.
Our name was chosen to reflect things in south Louisiana to the rest of the world. A common misconception is that we all live in the swamp. Secondly, people always think of the spicy Cajun food in Louisiana. Spicyswamp did not really have a good ring to it, so I went with Swampfire.
What About That Hot Sauce?
Honestly, I have no idea how to get in touch with the Swampfire Hot Sauce manufacturer. I get several dozen e-mails a week from people asking me if I know how to get the product. From the e-mails, they also have a line of crawfish boil. If anyone comes across this site and knows how to get some, I'd like to try a bottle myself.
